In what we believe

We believe in an almighty, omniscient, sovereign God that is actively and deeply involved in the affairs of man.

We believe in a triune God. Even though the actual word "Trinity" does not appear in the Bible, it doesn't mean that the Bible does not teach it.  For example, there is no word "resurrection" in the Pentateuch (the first five books of Moses), yet Jesus clearly pointed out that such teaching of the resurrection of the body is there (Mark12: 26-27).
We believe that the Father is God, Jesus Christ is God and the Holy Spirit is God. Three persons, nevertheless we believe not in three Gods but in One God, three persons in one.  We don't agree with those who say that in the Old Testament there was only God the Father, in the New Testament there was only God the Son (Jesus), and now there is only God the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Three-in-One God existed from eternity and for eternity.

We believe that God is the Creator of all things that are seen and unseen. We believe that God created the universe in 6 days and the age of the universe is young.
We believe that Noah's flood was a global flood and not a local one.

We believe in the Immaculate Conception of Jesus (Jesus was supernaturally conceived and born of a virgin woman, Mary).

We believe that Jesus Christ is 100% God and at the same time 100% man.

We believe that Jesus died, was buried and rose again in his body on the third day.  We likewise believe that the bodies of all believers will also be resurrected at the last day (John 6:40).

We believe that man is a unity of body, soul and spirit. We believe that the soul of man is immortal.

We believe that salvation is by faith alone in the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ, apart from works (Romans 3:28). We believe that it is the most important teaching of the Bible after the teachings of God's existence and the creation of the Universe.

We believe that as a person obtains Christ's righteousness (salvation) before God, that such true righteousness (salvation) will produce the fruit (works) of righteousness before men (Philippians1:11).  The works themselves do not revive faith but a true faith revives works in a person. The branches do not bring life to the vine but the vine gives life to the branches and the branches bring forth fruit. We do not work to obtain righteousness in God, but stand before God by faith in Christ and bring fruit of His given righteousness. The fruit doesn't save but merely testifies of salvation.

We believe that when a person obtains Christ's righteousness by faith he also obtains life from above, he becomes a new creation and his body becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit and that the believer may know that he has eternal life (1 John 5:13).

We believe that salvation cannot be earned but only be accepted by faith as a gift. We belive that this salvation by grace cannot be lost (Ephesians 2:8; John 6:40; John 10:28-29), if indeed one continues in the faith and abides in Christ (Colossians 1:22-23; John 6:40 John 15:6; John 10:28-29; Hebrews 3:6). Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

We believe that the Bible teaches about election and at the same time it teaches about the responsibility of man. We accept both teachings and don't think it's necessary to reject one or the other.

We believe in the infallibility of the Bible as the living, inspired Word of God (66 books of the Old and New Testaments). We believe that the authority of God's Word is greater than the authority of the church, Christian leaders or science.

We believe in the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the life of every believer and the responsibility of a believer to walk in the Spirit of God. We believe that the body of each believer is a temple of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit or filling of the Holy Spirit may be a separate experience from the moment of salvation (Acts 4:31).

We believe in existence of spiritual gifts for the church for our time as described in 1 Corinthians 12:28.

We believe that not every one who is baptized with the Holy Spirit has to have a gift of tongues as a confirmation of baptism (1 Corinthians 12:30).

We believe that the church is the gathering of believers in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. We believe that the church is the Body of Christ with Christ as the head of the body and believers as members of this body to serve each other with the gifts given from God.

We believe that as a rule speaking in tongues needs to be limited to two or three believers, each in turn and in part with the gift of interpretation. Likewise with the exercising of the gift of prophecy, two or three speaking, each in turn. We believe that the main purpose of all the gifts is to edify the church. (1 Corinthians 14:26-33). We believe that spiritual gifts need to be used decently and with certain order in the church (1 Corinthians 14:40).

We believe that a believer is called to worship God.  Worship is expressed by obeying Christ's commandments, serving others in love, by prayer, by singing songs and studying the Bible. Worshippers are to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23).

We believe that Jesus carried not only our sins but also our sicknesses on the cross (Mathew 8:17).  Therefore we believe and practice James 5:14-16 in praying for the healing of the sick.

We believe that one of the most important commissions of Christ is to preach the Gospel to all nations and make disciples (Mathew 28:18-20).

We believe in the importance of signs in the preaching of the Gospel (Mark 16:17-20).

We believe in the rapture of the Church before the period of Great Tribulation. We believe that Christ will come back to earth (His second coming) to establish a millennial kingdom for 1,000 years after the period of Great Tribulation. We believe that after the millennial kingdom will be the last judgment of Christ and eternity that is described in Revelation 21 and 22.

We believe that before the second coming of Christ Israel will believe in Christ Jesus and will cry out - "Blessed is the One Who comes in the name of the Lord" (Mathew 23:39)

We believe that way to salvation is the same for all (including Jews). It is by personal faith in Jesus Christ. "There is no other name under heaven by which man can be saved" (Acts 4:12).
